Continuing our look back at the articles of 2016 that caught the eye and captivated us, we turn our attention to film articles published this year. There have been a healthy bunch of excellent features and it was hard to narrow down but ultimately, as it is with most of Cureditor’s recommendations, it was an intention to find articles that are effective stories in their own right, e.g. you don’t need to be a cineaste to get them and enjoy them. In this sense, some of the publishers might be surprising in that only 3 of the 10 are largely dedicated film sites. It’s this variety I hope you’ll enjoy. Lastly, thanks to Ben Nicholson, who for the first half of this year served up excellent recommendations, many of which you’ll find in this list.
